CANADA - UNITED STATES - MEXICO

The tri-national conference is under the auspices of the United States Secretary of Commerce and its Canadian and Mexican counterparts.

The North American Competitive, Innovation & Clean Energy Conference is a joint effort of the Mexico Business Center/San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, San Diego Dialogue/University of California San Diego and the Trans-Border Institute/University of San Diego.

"China is not waiting to revamp its economy.  Germany is not waiting.  India is not waiting.  These nations -- they're not standing still.  These nations aren't playing for second place.  They're putting more emphasis on math and science.  They're rebuilding their infrastructure.  They're making serious investments in clean energy because they want those jobs.  Well, I do not accept second place for the United States of America."

- President Barack Obama, 2010 State of the Union Address
