Free E-Waste Recycling This Weekend

The Department of Toxic Substances Control along with their Take-It-Back partners, KGTV San Diego and Goodwill Industries of San Diego County, are working together to host an E-Waste Drop Off this weekend.

Residents and local businesses can drop off their unwanted computers, computer equipment,

electronics and cell phones at no cost.

Cars will drive up, and their items will be loaded onto Goodwill trucks. The computers will be used by Goodwill to create jobs. Goodwill employees will disassemble them, sell the parts and recycle what is left over.

Saturday, Jan. 13

9 a.m. to 1 p.m

San Diego DTSC office, 9174 Sky Park Court in San Diego, 92123

and at any Goodwill Donation Center or store in San Diego County

Partners such as the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), the city of San Diego, and County of San Diego will also participate.
