Mission Valley News & Views

After living and working in Mission Valley for twenty-five years, Gina Cord has taken a new direction.  In April of 2007, she established a new newspaper entitled the Mission Valley News & Views.  She is also the Editor and co-publisher of the publication.

The newspaper, “a positive view of the community,” is a free monthly color tabloid with 20,000 issues distributed to more than 200 locations in the Mission Valley Area.  

The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce has proven to be its most helpful effort in securing new advertising clients. 

“The Chamber is the greatest tool for networking that we have discovered,” according to Ms. Cord.  “When we attended the first Chamber breakfast, we were amazed to find that two hundred business owners or representatives were in attendance.  We met a young lady at one of the breakfasts who wanted to publicize her company. We did an editorial piece in the newspaper for her that resulted in an advertising program that will extend into six issues and beyond for our new newspaper.”
