Federal Computer Week Selects Systems Integrator Based on Operational Intelligence Program Deployed by U.S. DoD 

   

AMERICAN SYSTEMS, an employee-owned, government IT solutions provider, today announced that Federal Computer Week has named the company to its Federal 100 list. The Federal 100 recognizes individuals from government, industry and academia who significantly influenced how the federal government buys, uses or manages information technology in 2006.

 

San Diego State University

Hospitality Program Gets School Status at San Diego State. San Diego State University’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Program just graduated.

Established in 2001, the program, which grew from 13 students to 500 at present, was elevated in status to an official SDSU school earlier this month.

“In the hierarchy of universities, you start out as a program, then become a department and finally a school,” said Carl Winston, the program’s director. “So we skipped a grade and went directly to being a school.”
