Colorado River Aqueduct

After the November 2007 educational inspection tour of the State Water Project-San Joaquin Delta, members of the Chamber’s Infrastructure, International and Technology Committees were invited by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD), in partnership with the San Diego County Water Authority (CWA), to visit the Colorado River Aqueduct (CRA) system and learn how water is moved from the Colorado River to San Diego.

There has been much talk recently about recession, and many businesses are scurrying to craft solutions.  One knee-jerk reaction is to cut back on advertising and marketing budgets.  My advice is to cut overhead expenses by all means, but do not cut your marketing budget!

The highlight of the April 7-10 "San Diego/Baja California Mission to Mexico III" was a meeting at Los Pinos with President Felipe Calderon to discuss issues of concern to the bi-national region.   The President expressed support for a second border crossing at Otay Mesa, as well as a pedestrian crossing at the Tijuana International Airport and expansion of the San Ysidro-El Chaparral crossing.
