Board Report

The Chamber's board of directors met on Thursday, December 20.

Juan Garcia, Policy, Government and Public Affairs Manager for Chevron Corporation provided members of the board of directors with complimentary copies of the book, The Coronados Islands.  Chevron Corporation will also donate the book to libraries and other non-profit organizations.

The board of directors voted to support the Quarry Falls project, a master planned community located in Mission Valley.  The project received the endorsement of the Housing, Infrastructure, Transportation and Public Policy Committees.

Two new Legacy Chairs were honored at the meeting: Dave Ferguson, Goldman Ferguson Partners, and Pat Milliken, Chamber staff.

Board members whose terms were expiring were thanked for their support of the Chamber and recognized with a commemorative plaque.  The new slate of board members who will serve a two-year term ending December 2009 was welcomed.

Chairman Robert B. Horsman made closing remarks as he handed the reins of office over to the 2008 Chairman, Phil Blair.
