The Year Ahead

I’m pleased to announce that Sherman Stocker, former Business Development Manager, was recently promoted to Corporate Relations Manager. Sherman, who joined the Chamber’s Membership department in July of 2007, will be working closely with San Diego's regional companies in his new role as part of the Corporate Relations Department.

With three elections facing voters in 2008, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors took official positions on seven state ballot initiatives at their first monthly meeting of the year on January 24, 2008.   As the leading business organization in the region, these positions are important to voters and business owners.

Mexico's Secretariat of Economy and the United States Department of Commerce have asked the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Mexico Business Center to convene a "United States-Mexico Border Efficiency Conference" for the San Diego/Baja California Region.
