Live Healthy California
California State Games is launching Live Healthy California, a new health and wellness program that will help employees of local businesses lead a healthier and more productive lifestyle. During the 100-Day Challenge, employees will form teams that track their weight loss and minutes of physical activity online. By using support tools and resources such as personalized meal plans, customized workouts, and daily journals, employees and teams will engage in healthy lifestyle changes. The team based structure encourages a collaborative and motivating environment with a healthy dose of competition between other teams and businesses.
Live Healthy Programs are making an impact across the country from Dallas to the Twin Cities as a part of the National Live Healthy America health and wellness initiative. Wellness is not only a personal asset, but is becoming a necessity for successful businesses. Midwest grocery chain, Hy-Vee, has participated in Live Healthy America for the past six years and has experienced tremendous results.
President and CEO Ric Jurgens states, “We were able to move through 2005 with zero increase in premiums and provide four free weeks of health insurance to our 50,000 employees.”
Be one of the hundreds of companies who are participating in Live Healthy California and do your part to create a culture of wellness.
