President's Update

Welcome to the new Chamber Business Online. This new monthly electronic publication will provide Chamber members with useful information regarding happenings in the San Diego region. As always, you can find the latest Chamber happenings at www.sdchamber.org Today, I’m in Washington DC as part of the Chamber’s “One Region, One Voice” delegation. The Chamber is taking the lead in creating a stronger voice for the San Diego region at the federal level. We are joined today by San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders and we have had a series of productive meetings at the Pentagon, the Department of State, Homeland Security, the FAA, and more. Stay tuned for Updates from Washington as I describe the details of the Chamber’s efforts in our nation’s capital. Last week, the South County Economic Development Council held its successful Annual Economic Summit. Among the honorees at the event was the Chamber’s own Angelika Villagrana. Angelika is one of the founders of the Alliance for Border Efficiency, and is an incredible resource for the San Diego business community and the entire region. Congratulations Angelika! |
