Mike Abary, Senior Vice President at Sony Electronics
Mike Abary serves as Senior Vice President for the IT Products Division at Sony Electronics, where he is responsible for leading the business and brand strategies in the U.S. market for VAIO computers, Sony Ericsson unlocked phones, and branded optical drives.
Abary joined Sony Electronics in 2000 to support growth of the VAIO notebook business, which has since nearly doubled in revenue in the U.S. Prior to joining Sony, Abary spent seven years in various sales and product management roles at Synnex Information Technologies, a national commercial IT distributor and manufacturer.
Abary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from California State University, Hayward. In addition to his position on the Board of Directors, he serves as Vice Chair of the Chamber Technology Committee.
In 2006, he was recognized in Dealerscope Magazine as one of the “Top 40 under 40” executives in the consumer electronics industry.
