Bill Davidson

Senior Vice President, Global Marketing and Investor Relations at Qualcomm

As Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Investor Relations for Qualcomm, Inc. Bill Davidson provides leadership for marketing and public relations efforts worldwide and is the primary liaison with the investment community and company shareholders.

Davidson brings to the Chamber Board of Directors more than 20 years of expertise in marketing and general management roles in the telecommunications industry. Davidson previously served as Vice President of Carrier Relations for Qualcomm Internet Services (QIS).  He also served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Carrier Relations at Aether Systems prior to joining Qualcomm in 2002, where he worked closely with financial and industry analysts, and was the principal company spokesperson for investor conferences and analyst briefings. He spent 13 years at Bell Atlantic that included substantial experience within the wireline business at New Jersey Bell, as well as serving subsequently as Vice President of Wireless Data Sales and Marketing for Bell Atlantic Mobile. Davidson’s experience also included serving as Vice President of Commercial Sales Operations for GE Capital’s telecommunications financial services division.

Davidson has served as Secretary of the Board of the Wireless Data Forum and as a member of the Executive Advisory Committee of the Wireless Internet Caucus within the Cellular Telephone Industry Association. In addition to being regularly quoted as an expert in industry publications, Davidson has appeared on CNBC's “The Edge” and “The Weekly Business Report” for PBS. Davidson also has been a guest speaker at Boston University, Harvard University and The Wharton School of Business.
