Chamber Honors 10 Local Companies at Small Business Awards Luncheon
To honor the innovative small businesses that support our local economy and community, the Chamber recognized 10 outstanding local businesses at the Small Business Awards Luncheon & Business Exchange, held on May 27.
Ten small business owners received awards for their contributions of new ideas and services to the local marketplace. Two companies, a micro business (10 or fewer employees) and a small business (50 or fewer employees), were honored in each of
five categories:
“It is important to recognize these leaders in small business, especially during a recession, as they are vitally important to our local economy,” said Ruben Barrales, President and CEO of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. “The awards luncheon serves as a reminder of the role these businesses play in helping to keep San Diego competitive in the regional, national and global marketplaces.”
Over 700 local business leaders were in attendance to the event, which was hosted by George Chamberlin of “Money in the Morning” and the San Diego Daily Transcript. The event also featured a Business Exchange, which provided attendees an opportunity to network with prospects and gain powerful visibility for their companies.
The Chamber is proud to congratulate all winners and finalists on their accomplishments and positive impacts on the small business community.
