United Way of San Diego Offers Free Earned Income Tax Credit Inserts
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a tax credit available to low to middle income individuals. In January 2008, California passed a law mandating that every employer notify their employees that they might be eligible for EITC. Employers must notify all employees, regardless of income level, within one week of giving them their W-2. To help San Diego employers with this new regulation, United Way of San Diego has created an insert that will fulfill the state requirements. These inserts are available in both English and Spanish.
