HeroCare

Helping Connect Businesses to the Heroes Who Serve Our Communities

Herocare San Diego is a branch of a national non-profit organization that connects businesses with the heroes who serve San Diego. By offering the Herocare Rewards program and providing financial literacy educational programming, Herocare strives to ease the financial burden of our essential workers. In essence, Herocare brings value to those in San Diego who choose a life of service to ease their financial burden and encourage them to remain and thrive in the communities in which they work.  Herocare is a free program to heroes and the industries that employ them.

Who are these Essential Workers? San Diego’s heroes are those who choose a life of service including:

  • - Military (active, former & retired);
  • - First Responders: Fire, police, border patrol, CHP, Sheriff, EMT’s, etc.;
  • - City, State and Federal Workers;
  • - Non-profit organization employees; and
  • - Those working in education or the medical industry.

Herocare Rewards gives heroes access to discounts that aren’t available to the general public.  The program is free to hero employers and employees. Heroes simply register at www.Herocare.org and use their Herocare Rewards card at participating retailers.

Through Herocare University, employees can learn financial “basics” in easy-to-understand, 10-20 minute video sessions to suit their interests and busy schedule. Herocare also offers “lunch-and-learn” programs in which specialists come to the workplace and provide financial education programming during the lunch hour at no cost to “hero organizations.”

Businesses that want to make offers to help heroes and show their appreciation for their contribution to our community can do so for free just by visiting www.Herocare.org/Businesses. This is a great way for local businesses to show heroes how important they are to our community and to thank them for their contribution!  Don’t miss the opportunity to do something good for our essential workers and your business.
