As Chief Operating Officer of ESET, LLC, Darin Andersen is a recognized cyber security speaker and expert. He provides ESET, LLC with COO level expertise in day to day business operational areas including business, sales and channel and business development, marketing, manufacturing and production for biotech and high tech. Prior to Joining ESET, LLC, Andersen was the founder and principal of BizDev Direct, an independent management-consulting firm. He has more than 20 years of business, sales and operations leadership experience. Andersen also served as a President and Chief Operating Officer or advisor to the CEO for several companies, including Tulip Biomed, Software Cinema, Total Training and Revolution Enterprises. National clients have included Adobe Systems, Merrill Lynch, UNOCAL and California Pizza Kitchen. Andersen worked as a Regional Director at Red Hat (NASDAQ: RHAT), a leader of Linux and open source technology where he focused on regional sales development in the western US. He later served as the Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Total Training (Carlsbad, CA), a major training partner of Adobe Systems and Microsoft. Darin founded Ready Set Net, a business and Internet consultancy and software development company specializing in ecommerce and IT integration projects. Ready Set Net developed software technologies including “Dynamic Web Content Modules” which allowed Internet users to content manage and maintain their web sites directly from the Internet. In 2008 Andersen helped create and organize a national program called “Securing Our eCity,” (www.securingourecity.org) a public/private coalition of concerned stakeholders including consumer advocates, business owners, governmental agencies (law enforcement and legislative bodies) to better educate and protect the public against cybercrime. Andersen has a broad knowledge of business systems for process modeling and reengineering, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and connectivity infrastructure, IT hardware and software. He also has extensive international business experience, having travelled and worked throughout Europe, Asia and South America. ESET, LLC is an international software security company with 90 million users and global sales of ~$200M in 160 countries. ESET earned two Inc. 500 Awards (2007 & 2008) and was #78 on Deloitte's 2008 Technology Fast 1000, growing 3,100% over the last 5 years.
