USO San Diego provides “a touch of home” plus an array of services for over 125,000 service members and their families annually. Six full-time staff, five part-time staff and over 200 outstanding volunteers work from the USO Airport and Downtown Centers. Most San Diegans are surprised to learn that USO San Diego receives no financial support from federal, state, or municipal governments; any branch of military service; and minimal support from the USO national organization. Virtually all support for USO San Diego comes from the San Diego community and is then returned to the San Diego community. San Diego businesses and community members have an opportunity to support those who personally sacrifice to defend our Nation by supporting USO San Diego, an internationally recognized non-profit organization. USO San Diego accepts financial contributions, but also enables businesses to showcase products and services with in-kind donations or through employee volunteer programs. USO encourages you to highlight United Way Campaign #: 96576 and CFC#: 63346 during annual campaigns. Every Chamber member produces goods, services or has an employee volunteer program that could make a huge local impact.
