Mathnasium Point Loma is part of a chain of franchises that began 10 years ago in Los Angeles and has grown to 188 stores worldwide. It is a math specific, after-school learning center for students in grades 2 - 12 where kids can go to catch up, keep up, or get ahead in math. Mathnasium provides personalized courses of study that are tailor made for each student based on written and oral assessments and each child's strengths and weaknesses. Mathnasium also addresses study skills, test-taking strategies, and helping children to visualize math and how the parts fit together.
Center director Glenn Creswell and wife Laura have been math teachers in San Diego for over 20 years and are excited to be able to deliver the Mathnasium Method of math instruction to their neighbors in San Diego.
