Sustainable Investing

All investors are in some way, shape, or form investing to have more financial assets at some date in the future. However, few consider what that future may look like and if it is worth saving for. Do you have a portfolio with companies that operate as if the future doesn't matter? Would you rather be invested in companies that are part of the solution than part of the problem? How we spend our money has tremendous influence on the behavior of companies and the direction of the economy. The same holds true with regards to how we invest our money. Sustainable investing is about investing as if the future matters, aligning personal values and investments, while earning competitive returns.

The Missing Link

Most managers understand that kindness is a weak word that unfortunately can not survive in the world of bottom line results and deadlines. But what if there is a way to benefit from the assets that stem from kindness without being held back by its dysfunctional outcomes? What if there was a way to increase productivity and achieve outstanding business results without having to shy away from setting boundaries? Very few know the secret –kindness is the only platform that leads to trust, higher productivity, commitment (reduced voluntary turnover), and other precious human asset gems. But it will lead to outstanding results only when it’s combined with the appropriate management skills. These skills are the missing link. This presentation will change the way you think about management. It will show you that there is a simple alternative, a set of revolutionary skills that will increase your chances of attracting the best, keeping them, and leading them to excellent performances.

Reut Schwartz-Hebron is the president of MCS-MetaConsulting Solutions and the author of Out Swim the Sharks: How to Quadruple Your Team’s Productivity with Kindness. She is personally dedicated to providing executives with the techniques that lead to kind excellence in business and is currently working on a nation wide revolution called “The Management Initiative” to promote a kind management style that leads to superior results in corporate America.

Search Engine Marketing - Driving Quality Traffic to Your Website

Just because you build a website does not mean that the traffic will come pouring in. A business must market its website properly in order to be successful. Nearly 90% of all internet traffic originates through a search engine ( e.g. Google, Yahoo, and MSN). If you want to drive more quality traffic to your website, then you must optimize for the search engines. Getting your site listed on the first page of Google can literally change your life.

A comprehensive Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEM & SEO) campaign is the most cost-effective form of advertising, second only to e-mail marketing. SEM/SEO can be extremely effective and flexible in driving highly targeted web traffic to your site.

This presentation will outline some basic things you can do to help your site rank higher in the search engines with just a little bit of effort.

Matt Walker is the CEO and co-founder of Best Rank, Inc.; a San Diego based Search Engine Marketing, Optimization, and Website design company. Matt has an MBA from San Diego State University and has been practicing search engine marketing since 2004. Before starting his own company, Matt served as an Air Force Officer where he worked as a Project Manager on a missile defense satellite system. Matt has extensive Program and Project Management experience plus a multitude of Internet marketing successes. Matt's goal is to develop a world-class Internet Marketing firm.

What Does Your Company's Turnover Really Cost?

The Department of Labor identifies that the true cost of turnover is between 75-200% of the annual salary of the position being filled. Often, we tend to minimize the true effects of turnover, taking into consideration only the costs of recruitment, advertising, and hiring as we look at what turnover really costs.

What are we failing to consider? To answer that question, let me pose some questions for you to consider.

  1. How much time are you and your key staff spending in the recruitment and interview process?
  2. How does turnover in key positions affect your employees’ morale and productivity?
  3. What impact does turnover have on your key customer relationships?

Jeffrey Winter, PhD, a licensed Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in Human Behavior brings his expertise in facilitation and training as well as validated online assessment tools to make sure you make the right hire the first time, every time.
Dr. Winter will provide complimentary on-line assessments regarding their communication style and attitudes and values to all participants prior to his presentation to make the presentation extremely meaningful and informative for their personal and professional development.
